The BI-LO Invention Convention is a huge, learning-based event open to all students in grades 4 through 8. The students think of, create, and showcase an original invention at the BI-LO Center.
The objective of the BI-LO Invention Convention is to challenge the imagination, innovation, and creativity of students in the development of solutions to everyday issues. Additionally, an objective of this event is to raise public awareness of each company’s commitment to schools and education in the community.
The 2011 BI-LO Invention Convention was a huge success with almost 2,000 students participating. We would like to increase that number in 2012. And this year, we are proud to announce that BI-LO is once again partnering with Clear Channel Media to bring you the 2011 BI-LO Invention Convention!
The 2012 BI-LO Invention Convention is coming to the BI-LO Center on Tuesday, February 28, and Wednesday, February 29, and is open to kids in grades 4-8.
Kids, get your thinking caps on and get ready to invent something new and exciting! There will be cash prizes up for grabs! Plus, there will be a $1,000 scholarship given by BI-LO.
