The 2017 Duke Energy Invention Convention is coming to the TD Convention Center on Monday, March 6th.

The Duke Energy Invention Convention is a huge, learning-based event open to all students in grades 4 through 8.  The students think of, create, and showcase an original invention at the TD Convention Center, and there will be great prizes up for grabs!

The objective of the Duke Energy Invention Convention is to challenge the imagination, innovation, and creativity of students in the development of solutions to everyday issues. Additionally, an objective of this event is to raise public awareness of each company’s commitment to schools and education in the community.

The 2016 Duke Energy Invention Convention was a huge success with over 1,000 students participating.  We would like to increase that number in 2017.

The deadline for registration is February 24, 2017.  Early birds who register on or before January 26th will be entered into a drawing for the grand prize -- a trip for two to Myrtle Beach! There will also be a second and third place winner for a $250 gift card and a $100 gift card.
